Bangalore: Sikandar Bade Khan (61) hails from Hatko in Kathak district of Karnataka. He was a devotee of Swarubananda Swami, the Omkar Abbot of Dharwad. Sikandar Bade Khan, a retired professor, invited Swarupananda Swami to his home yesterday. Sikandar Bade Khan along with his wife performed pada pooja for him and recited the mantra ‘Om Nama Shivaya’. Swarupananda Swami and his disciples then partook of his homemade food.
Sikandar Bade Khan said, “My relatives and I have been following Swarupananda Swamiji for a long time. From time to time Swami comes to our house and performs pooja. Hindus and Muslims live in harmony in many places in North Karnataka. Recently, some people are creating religious divide for political reasons,” he said.
